    <br><br>Burdock clover (lat.Trifolium lappaceum) – an annual herb, a species of the genus Clover (Trifolium) tribes Clover (Trifolieae) of the subfamily Motylkovs (Faboideae) of the legume family (Fabaceae).<br>Botanical description<br>Stems 10-40 cm high, simple or branched with deviated branches, practically naked or with scattered hairs.<br><br>Petioles of upper leaves with stiff hairs, shorter than those of lower leaves. Stipules of the lower leaves are linear-lanceolate, pointed at the ends; the stipules of the upper leaves are lanceolate, membranous, with lilac veins, bristly pubescent. The leaves are practically sessile, the shape ranges from to rounded, the upper part is serrated, the lower part is hairy.<br><br>The inflorescence is the head. The heads are single, at the ends of the branches are false-end, round or elliptical in shape. The flowers are . The calyx is tubular, inversely conical in shape, bell-shaped in fruit, from the outside. Calyx tube with 20 veins. The teeth of the calyx are longer than the tube, widened at the base, with 4-5 veins, stiff, prickly, spaced apart bristles at the edges, the teeth deviate in fruit.
