In an fun collaboration of different media, over 700 bookstores across Japan are collaborating with the massively popular Hatsune Miku-based rhythm game Project Sekai Colorful Stage! throughout February, with a variety of exclusive promotional art, giveaways, events, and more!
For those attending any of the participating bookstores, one of six exclusive Vocaloid-themed bookmarks will be given out with the purchase of each book! While the type that attendees receive is given at random, all six feature exclusive art of different Vocaloid characters and groups with a Project Sekai logo in the corner. Fans of either the game itself or any of the Vocaloid characters featured may want to collect all six exclusive designs!
A small collaborative book fair will also be held at participating bookstores, with a central theme of works that feature characters encountering a new world. During this book fair, 12 different paperback works will be featured from 5 different publishers, and several characters from the Project Sekai game will be chosen as mascots for the book fair, being featured in exclusive artwork and cardboard cutouts throughout the stores.
A social media giveaway campaign is also being held to celebrate the launch of the collaboration, where fans can tweet using the official hashtag photos of their purchased books. 20 people will be selected to win a bookstore gift card worth 1,000 yen for the duration of the collaboration, which both run from February 1st to February 21st, 2024.
