Ghibli Exhibition Showcases Exclusive Themed Drinks!

Already gathering attention around the world and drawing in a massive amount of tourists, the Ghibli Museum and Exhibition is currently happening across Japan, moving between different locations at different times. Currently at the Kobe City Museum until June 25th, 2023, fans and attendees have a special bonus attraction to look forward to: specially made Ghibli themed drinks!

The venue of this time block’s Ghibli Museum, the Kobe City Museum, also features a restaurant on the first floor known as Tooth Tooth, which will be offering up the special drinks during the exhibition’s Kobe City Museum run. Each drink is modeled after a Ghibli character, decorated in a very social media-worthy way with exciting flavors for each.

The restaurant will be debuting 3 new drinks that will be sold alongside the event: the Rainy Weather Bus Stop and the Forest Cocoa, a drink modeled after My Neighbor Totoro; the Prince of a Neighbouring Kingdom’s Botanical Lemonade, modeled after Howl’s Moving Castle; and the Fire Demon Caramel Au Lait, also modeled after Howl’s Moving Castle.

The first of the drinks is a very foresty-looking hot cocoa, similar to the kind of drink you might enjoy around Christmas time, topped with whipped cream, a mocha cookie, matcha powder, and even a large nut to top it off. The second is a lemonade modeled after the scarecrow from Howl’s Moving Castle, featuring a rosemary sprig, flowers, apple, and a little hat. The final drink resembles a latte, and is topped with caramel popcorn, whipped cream, and a red/yellow candy swirl that resembles Calcifer, or perhaps a fireplace.

The drinks are available during the entirety of the Kobe City Museum run of the Ghibli Exhibition, which goes until June 25th, 2023. Those who want to try a taste need to pay the event a visit before then!
