Universal Studios Japan (USJ) is keeping pace with the ongoing developments in the anime adaptation of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba by introducing two new roller coaster attractions and a themed menu, in addition to props and merchandise being available for sale!

The first new attraction is the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba XR Ride Dash Through Swordsmith Village. This VR coaster focuses on the Swordsmith Village Arc, replacing the previous Mugen Train Arc-themed ride. In this new experience, Tanjiro, Muichiro, and Mitsuri battle the villains Gyokko and Hantengu. The second updated attraction is Hollywood Dream-The Ride, which now features a Demon Slayer theme for the next six months. The ride’s usual musical theme is replaced by the voices of Tanjiro, Sanemi, and Obanai, narrating the Hashira Training Arc as visitors ride through the various tracks.

One of USJ’s main dining areas has also been rebranded to resemble the Swordsmith Village, with new focuses on food from the village as it appears in the show, with the interior including photo spots and props pulled from the show. Additionally, the Demon Slayer merchandise shop near the XR ride entrance now features a statue of master swordsmith Hotaru Haganezuka and plenty of Demon Slayer-themed goods.

These new Demon Slayer attractions at USJ opened mid-July, 2024, and will be available until January 5th, 2025, so attendees can enjoy them beyond the hot summer months. Now you can experience the Swordsmith Village arc for yourself!
