Tokyo Metro and Studio Ghibli Team Up For Stamp Rally!

Tokyo Metro is bringing a touch of Ghibli magic to its subway lines this summer with a special stamp rally in collaboration with Studio Ghibli for exclusive prizes! Participants start by collecting a special sheet with blank spots from a station, with each spot filled with a unique stamp found at other stations along the Tokyo Metro network. Once all the stamps are collected, participants can submit their completed sheet to receive a prize!

The Tokyo Metro Ghibli Park and Ghibli Exhibition Stamp Rally will start June 13th, 2024, and feature five stamps, making it relatively easy to complete. The reward for collecting all the stamps is an exclusive Catbus sticker featuring My Neighbor Totoro racing above the text that reads, “And now, off to Tokyo!”

To participate, visit the following stations to collect stamps:

  • Aoyama-itchome Station (Ginza and Hanzomon Lines)
  • Monzen-nakacho Station (Tozai Line): Near Monzennakacho Intersection ticket gate (Exits 3-6)
  • Edogawabashi Station (Yurakucho Line)
  • Ichigaya Station (Yurakucho and Namboku Lines): Near Ichiyatamachi ticket gate
  • Todaimae Station (Namboku Line): Near stationmaster’s office

The stamps are available from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily. Participants do not need to purchase a ticket or ride the subway to access the stamps, as they are located outside the ticket gates. The stamp rally sheet can be picked up at most Tokyo Metro stations, with exceptions including Kita Senju, Naka-meguro, Nakano, Nishi Funabashi, Yoyogi Uehara, Wakoshi, and Shibuya.

Once all stamps are collected, the sheet can be submitted at the Niteleya store Shiodome branch to receive the Catbus sticker. The stamps can be collected in any order and on different days, as long as the rally is completed by July 15. However, with only 7,000 stickers available, fans might want to hurry to ensure they get one.

The Ghibli Park and Ghibli Exhibition runs concurrently with the stamp rally, from June 13th to July 15th, 2024. The exhibition, showcasing artworks, models, and design documents from Studio Ghibli, will be held at the Warehouse Terada event space in Tokyo’s Tennozu Isle neighborhood.
