Wouldn’t it be awesome if there was a workshop that taught you how to do cosplay? Well you are in luck the renowned cosplay event organizing company Luminage, partnered with international organizations to bring you a cosplay 101 workshop “Cosplay Taiken”.
This workshop is aimed towards tourists and the international community that lives in Japan. The goal of the workshop is to introduce the fantastic world of cosplay while ultimately spreading the otaku culture to as many people as possible.
At the workshop professional cosplayers will teach you the tricks of the trade, like how to apply cosplay makeup and wigs. There is a lecture on cosplay manners, and rules.
And since the workshop is being held in Akihabara at Cosplay Studio Crown you can also rent costumes and have photo shoots. I think this would be a great experience for anyone interested in cosplay. Maybe in the near future one of our Around Akiba reporters will participate in this workshop and post their experience. The Cosplay Taiken workshop will be going on until the middle of May. So if you have time please join in on the fun and discover your inner cosplayer.
