Located about 45 minutes from Tokyo, Makuhari Messe is filled with vast halls packed with figures and merchandise, transforming the space into both a showcase of figures as well as an area to celebrate every aspect of otaku culture. Attendees can stroll through aisles filled with stunning artworks and a variety of doujinshi booths as well, with a variety of illustrations, prints, and crafts that pay tribute to beloved franchises, offering something for every type of collector. The cosplay scene at Wonder Festival is also a major highlight, with both professional and casual cosplayers bringing characters to life with impressive detail in dedicated cosplay areas. The energy and creativity of the cosplayers enhance the vibrant atmosphere, with both indoor and outdoor areas offering both the cosplayers themselves and photographers a change of scenery.
