Sushiro, one of Japan’s most popular conveyor belt sushi chains, is ringing in October with everyone’s favorite dark and sassy Sanrio character, Kuromi, with an all-new collaboration! Several exclusive new menu items, limited-time goods, and even an all-new design for Kuromi will be released at this exclusive event!

Dubbed the, “#SushiroKuromiPlan”, Kuromi will be appearing all over food and products across Sushiro locations. Two all-new looks for Kuromi will be making their debut during the event as well; in addition to her classic black hood look, this collaboration will showcase here in a new red hood and white hood look, which will appear across different goods given out at the event.

Two specially designed food items, modeled after Kuromi herself, will also join Sushiro’s lineup for the duration of the event. The first is a Gunkan 3-piece platter, which comes with an exclusive pick given at random featuring one of twelve different Kuromi-themed designs, 4 of which feature one of the two new Kuromi color schemes. The other is the Black Cocoa White Chocolate Ice Cream Cake, which features one of ten different collaborative stickers given at random with each order.

Customers ordering certain drinks will also receive one of three different Kuromi plush keychains at random, and anybody ordering the sushi-filled PetitRo set will get one of 5 different special Kuromi-themed clear pouches, plus one of 5 different placemats with special Kuromi designs. Depending on what you’re in the mood for, each item comes with a different collaborative Kuromi product!

The event starts October 9th, 2024, across Sushiro locations throughout Japan, and will continue to run until all of the collaborative goods are sold out. Kuromi not only ranked as the #3 most popular character in a recent Japan Sanrio poll, but is also typically associated with October and Halloween as a whole, so it’s likely this is just the start of Kuromi-themed collaborations coming to Japan this month!
