Due to overwhelming demand from fans, the highly acclaimed attraction Demon Slayer: Mugen Train Chasing Dreams Ride is set to triumphantly return to Universal Studios Japan! Returning from February 1st, 2024 to June 9th, 2024, the ride originally had a run at the amusement park in 2022 and boasted a remarkable 99-percent satisfaction rating from attendees.

The main focus of the ride is that it’s a VR-enhanced coaster ride, providing participants with a 360-degree field of vision through VR headsets. The 10-minute storyline is based on the blockbuster film Demon Slayer: Mugen Train, and has participants thrust into the Demon Slayer universe joining protagonist Tanjiro and Flame Hashira Rengoku in a confrontation with the demon Akaza. The ride offers an up-close encounter with breathing techniques, blood demon arts, and sword clashes, creating an immersive experience akin to being part of the film itself.

In addition to the XR Ride, the park’s distinctive ride Hollywood Dream will also collaborate with Demon Slayer to deliver two original stories. The first narrative, available from February 1st, 2024 to April 7th, 2024, revolves around a humorous conversation between Tanjiro and Rengoku as they embark on an “iron cart” journey at USJ. The second story, scheduled from April 25th, 2024 to June 9th, 2024, sees Tanjiro joined by Nezuko, Zenitsu, and Inosuke for another thrilling ride on the “iron cart.”

The returning attractions will also revive two collaboration restaurant menus at the Wisteria Dining Hall and Studio Stars Restaurant. While specific details about the menu items and goods are yet to be revealed, it’s known that the former will feature themed dishes for eight of the Hashira, while the latter will focus on dishes dedicated to the Flame Hashira Rengoku. The park will also be bringing back an exclusive popcorn bucket for sale that looks like Nezuko in her box, which sold out during the collaboration’s previous run.

Anime enthusiasts and theme park lovers shouldn’t miss this limited-time opportunity to experience the thrills of one of the hottest anime franchises before it disappears again! More information can be found on the official site here.
