Cardcaptor Sakura Cafe Arrives in Japan!

Parco department stores have announced a collaboration with the beloved Cardcaptor Sakura franchise for their themed cafes! This time, the enchanting world of Sakura, Kero-chan, and Syaoran takes on a delightful Chinese motif, creating a unique and limited-time dining experience for fans!

The Cardcaptor Sakura Kero-chan Chinese Cafe, or Kero-chan Hanten, has set up its temporary residence on the sixth floor of Shibuya Parco Tokyo Parade Goods & Cafe. Running from November 23rd to December 25th, this culinary celebration offers an array of mouthwatering dishes inspired by the iconic anime and manga series.

The menu boasts creative delights, including the Braised Pork Kakuni Burger adorned with a smiling Kero-chan bun. For those who prefer to share their dining experience, the Kero-chan Dim Sum Set features an assortment of steamed buns and dumplings accompanied by a two-piece luncheon mat set as a take-home souvenir.

Sakura’s Shrimp Wanton Ramen also makes an appearance, featuring a mini Clow Card for a touch of magic. The dessert options are equally enchanting, with two parfaits representing Sakura and Syaoran, adorned with fruits and cream. A unique fake-out Kuromitsu Syrup-Covered Shaved Ice Bowl adds a playful twist to the menu, resembling Kero-chan’s favorite takoyaki octopus balls.

The culinary adventure extends to colorful desserts and sweet soft drinks, including strawberry and citrus cream sodas with miniature magic stick ornaments. Hot tea lovers can indulge in pots of flavorful tea, accompanied by a wooden souvenir coaster.

Following the tradition of Japanese character cafes, Kero-chan’s Chinese Cafe introduces a collectible element with 12 art coasters. Each coaster is given at random for every menu item ordered, be it food or drink.

For enthusiasts looking to take a piece of the magic home, an adjacent gift shop offers exclusive items inspired by new illustrations. From clear files, pins, and teacups to keychains, stickers, and reusable eco-shopping bags, there’s plenty for fans and collectors alike to look forward to.

While the Shibuya/Tokyo branch runs until December 25th, the festivities continue with an Osaka branch at Shinsaibashi Parco’s The Guest Cafe & Diner from December 22nd to February 5th, and a Nagoya branch at Nagoya Parco The Guest Cafe & Diner from January 12th to February 19th. Fans of the series won’t want to miss this unique collaborative dining experience!
