For those who want to show off their love for anime while remaining as stylish as they can, a new collaboration has been announced between luxury fashion brand Jimmy Choo and the iconic classic anime Sailor Moon! Ranging from a variety of footwear and accessories, as well as at a range of prices, this collaboration mixes motifs from the series seamlessly with high-class fashion.
Footwear is the primary focus of this collaboration, ranging from sneakers to tall boots to high heels. While not overt in their representation of the series, the symbolism across the collaboration goods is mostly done through the colors and designs used. In the boots section, the lineup includes a large pink boot modeled after Sailor Moon and a leathery black boot with a red ribbon representing Sailor Pluto.
As far as the high heels and pumps go, a purple fabric pump with black laces was designed to represent Sailor Saturn, a multilayered heel with blue gradient fabrics designed to represent Sailor Uranus, and a classy, low-cut emerald pump meant to represent Sailor Neptune.
More casual shoes also enter the lineup, with two sparkly and bedazzled marlow moccasin-type shoes joining the collaborative lineup in black and pink, the former representing Sailor Moon’s cat Luna and the other representing Sailor Moon herself. Two casual flat-top sneakers are also available, with the most overt Sailor Moon representation, each featuring a manga illustration of the protagonist herself in either black or an iridescent rainbow.
While the focus of the collaboration is on shoes and footwear, a wide range of bags and accessories are also included as part of the collaboration, ranging from clips, foulards, tote bags, clutches, wallets, and even bracelets.
