Last week the Japanese internet was puzzled when 4 popular voice actresses, Kana Asumi, Kotori Koiwai, Hiromi Igarashi, and Shiori Izawa, all seemed to lose their minds at the same time! From their blogs to Twitter, the girls seemed to forget human language completely and posted in combinations of nya- and nya, which is the Japanese onomatopoeia for how kitties talk. Meow I don’t know about you, but this made me think of Super Troopers and how they are working on a sequel for it right meow, but this has to be something else.

Afterwards one of the girls came forward and let the cat out of the bag that they were actually promoting a new commercial/cat drama for telecommunications company au that they voice acted in.
