Attention, EVA fans! June 22nd 2015, on this fateful day… Finally, the day has come! The year, 2015. Also known as “The Year of EVA”, is where we are today! That’s right. Today was the day when Shinji Ikari got on the Evangelion’s Eva-01 Test Type for the first time ever!
In the first episode “Angel Attack” of the monumental anime series that is “Neon Genesis Evangelion” (which drove many humans out of their damn minds…), the protagonist Shinji arrives at Tokyo-3 and meets Misato Katsuragi. Later he reunites after a very long time with his father, Gendo Ikari, at the NERV headquarters. Then, he makes his decision to embark on the Evangelion-01 Test Type.
All these remarkable events occurred on June 22nd, which is today!
In summary, here’s what happened on this eventful day:
- Shinji arrived at Tokyo-3
- The 3rd angel Sachiel attacked the city
- Shinji got on the Eva-01 Test Type for the first time, and exterminated the 3rd
