July 22 is the birthday of Love Live’s character, Niko Yazawa. To celebrate the joyous event, the game center of Sega near Akihabara station held a special birthday festival in her honor. A “UFO Catcher”, or crane game machine, turned into an altar of Niko Yazawa. There was also a message board set up especially for this event.
The UFO Catcher game machine was filled with Niko Yuzawa’s plush dolls, figurines, magazines and so on. On the message board, visitors wrote their birthday wishes to the character. There was also a special birthday greeting from the voice actress, Sora Tokui.
Too bad that Niko Yazawa’s birthday comes only once a year!
