A familiar face makes an unexpected appearance at the Interpet Pet Product Expo held at Tokyo Big Sight, and with their presence an unexpected product reveal: Square Enix, with their all-new line of video game-themed pet products!
Under the supervision of Tetsuya Nomura, renowned character designer of Final Fantasy VII and Kingdom Hearts, this all-new line dubbed SQEX Pets (Square Enix Pets) showcases a range of items inspired by Square Enix’s iconic franchises. For Final Fantasy enthusiasts, the Buster Sword, famously wielded by protagonist Cloud Strife, transforms into a durable rope toy for dogs to enjoy.
Dragon Quest fans can indulge their pets with a cozy Slime-themed pet house, as well as Slime-adorned bandanas. Owners seeking fashionable attire for their pets can also dress them in Kingdom Hearts protagonist Sora’s costume or provide them with Paopu Fruit rope toys, adding a nerdy touch to a home in the form of fun for your pets.
Additionally, the Kingdom Heartsmonogram pattern is featured on various products, including a pet bed, leash, bandana, and “cafe mat” for elevated pet dining experiences. A small slime-shaped house from Dragon Quest for smaller dogs is also one of the products teased to join the lineup!
