June 3rd’s issue of Weekly Shounen Jump announced today that Tsukuda Yuuta and Saeki Shun’s Shokugeki no Soma has three more chapters left until the final conclusion of the series.
Shokugeki no Soma, written by Tsukuda Yuuta and illustrated by Saeki Shun, began serialization in Weekly Shounen Jump in 2012, with three seasons of an anime adaptation. The story follows Yukihira Souma, a young chef who is the successor to his father’s restaurant, Yukihira Family Restaurant, who attends the elite culinary school Totsuki Saryo Culinary Institute. The students at the school engage in culinary battles called shokugeki (Food war). In his efforts to surpass his father’s skill, Souma aims to be the best at the academy.
The issue also states, “Along with the release of the final chapter will be an important announcement!”
What do you think could be the important announcement to follow? A new series? Perhaps a movie adaptation? Let us know what your guesses are!
