An all-new pop-up cafe was just announced, perfectly blending the worlds of both Western and Japanese animation: a Manga Princess Cafe focused exclusively on Disney princesses! Hosted by the Oh My Cafe space within the Shibuya 109 building, this pop-up restaurant offers a unique fusion of classic American animated characters and Japanese manga art style.
The princess lineup includes classic characters such as Snow White, Cinderella, Belle from Beauty and the Beast, Ariel from The Little Mermaid, and Tiana from The Princess and the Frog. Each princess has been reimagined with manga-style makeovers, incorporating popular manga design cues while maintaining a tasteful aesthetic reminiscent of renowned artist Akemi Takada.
Indulge in a feast fit for royalty with colorful dishes like sliced ham and vegetable pasta with “princess sauce,” pink curry with heart-shaped rice, and fruit toast. Quench your thirst with image-color beverages featuring milk or yogurt bases, each inspired by a different princess.
Exclusive merchandise featuring the exclusive cafe art style and character designs will also be available for purchase, including keychains, compact mirrors, drawstring pouches, and more. Attendees are also given an exclusive sticker set just for dining!
Reservations are required for the Manga Princess Cafe, which also requires a service charge, and can be booked online through the official site here. Don’t miss your chance to immerse yourself in this enchanting culinary experience, running from April 26th to June 9th, 2024. Reserve your spot through the Oh My Cafe website and prepare to dine like royalty!
