Cowboy Bebop Themed Cafe will be opening in Tokyo and Osaka next month!

Cowboy Bebop Themed Cafe will be opening in Tokyo and Osaka next month as a celebration of its 20th anniversary.

Nowadays, it is hard for an anime to have a long-term popularity as there is a lot of new anime coming out every year. Hence, anime may be popular by the time it got released, but when a new good one came out, last season’s hits can get quickly pushed out of fans’ collective memory.

Despite the fact that some otaku simply can’t develop positive feelings about an anime because of some minor flaws, Cowboy Bebop remains one of the most widely admired and enjoyed anime ever. And now it will be celebrating its 20th anniversary with a Cowboy Bebop-themed cafe in Tokyo and Osaka next month!

According to PR Times, the cafe is scheduled to open from May 15 until June 10. Animate Cafe (an anime store cafe with character-inspired menus) branches in Akihabara, Tokyo, and Nihonbashi, Osaka will host the celebration by giving an injection of “See you, space cowboy” charm and turning into Cowboy Bebop Cafes in a collaboration promotion.

Besides having a food&drinks menu with a motif inspired by the Cowboy Bebop crew and cast, the cafe’s interior will also be decorated with the aesthetics of the series. Furthermore, character designer of the anime Toshihiro Kawamoto had drawn a special celebratory illustration as a commemoration of the event, and it will be sold along with exclusive merchandise at the cafe’s gift shop.
