Comiket 2020 Shifted to Golden Week from Summer

After much commotion over the use of Tokyo Big Sight venue for the Tokyo Olympics, the organizing committee for Comiket announced that it would host its fanzine convention earlier from its traditional summer schedule to the Golden Week holidays in April and May. Details for 2020 “DOUJIN JAPAN 2020/COMIC MARKET 98” is available on its official website.

Comiket will take place as part of a project dubbed “DOUJIN JAPAN 2020” for the time being, which will seek to collaborate with doujin and  character content exhibitions hosted in the Golden Week.

Also, DOUJIN JAPAN 2020 will plan to take place not only in Tokyo during the Golden Week, but in a span from 2019 to 2020 across Japan in collaboration with other Dojin markets.

DOUJIN JAPAN 2020/COMIC MARKET 98 plans to take place in the East, South, Aomi, and Conference Halls of the Big Sight. Further details such as dates are yet to be announced.
