Fans of the wildly popular series Jujutsu Kaisen have another reason to visit Tokyo, with a massive collaboration event announced for Tokyo Skytree! The event will see the iconic Tokyo building completely covered inside and out in characters, settings, and more from the series, plus a number of hands-on activities, photo spots, goods, and more!
Although taking place primarily in the Tembo Galleria observation area, decorations and characters can be found even in the elevator up to the observatory, in addition to a life-size photo spot featuring the protagonists with a space for attendees to stand and be a part of the photos throughout. Massive character portraits will also make appearances all throughout Skytree, including throughout the entirety of the observation deck’s halls, corridors, and even windows.
The Skytree Round Theater will also be holding special animated screenings with the show’s opening and ending themes, also taking place on the tower’s windows so viewers can enjoy the stunning view while also reliving emotional moments from the show. Skytree itself will also change it’s light colors throughout the duration of the collaboration, each referencing different powers and scenes from the Jujutsu Kaisen anime.
Attendees can also purchase commemorative photos at the observation deck with a protagonist of their choice, of which they can take home as a souvenir in a special envelope and pattern. Exclusive Jujutsu Kaisen merchandise featuring Skytree will also be available for sale only during the events run, featuring the cast and Skytree together in a series of keychains, postcards, standees, bags, and more. Those who spend over a certain amount will also receive a free sticker set, and even the admission ticket will be decorated in the collaboration’s exclusive art.
The Jujutsu Kaisen x Tokyo Skytree collaboration event runs from September 25th, 2024 to December 22nd, 2024, with the special light show taking place on certain days that can be seen on the official website here. There’s no better way for fans to dive into the Jujutsu Kaisen universe while also enjoying a Tokyo icon, so go before it’s gone!
